EDWARDSVILLE — A teenager is facing a felony charge after exposing himself to two children in Holiday Shores, police said Friday.
According to a press release from Madison County Sheriff John D. Lakin, at approximately 4:23 p.m. Thursday, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a subject exposing his genitals to two children in Holiday Shores. An investigation into the complaint led to the arrest of Bradley R. Boivin, 18, of the 1700 block of Fountainbleau Drive. Boivin was charged Friday in Madison County Circuit Court with one felony and one misdemeanor count of sexual exploitation of a child.
The female victims told deputies the incident took place at approximately 3:45 p.m. as they were walking in front of Boivin’s home. One child told deputies that she observed a white male, nude from the waist down, standing in front of a window, inside of the residence. The child said the subject had his body pressed against window facing them and was engaged in a lewd act. Alarmed by the act, the children immediately notified family members, who called the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to the address, where they made contact with Bradley R. Boivin, who was identified as the suspect. Deputies developed probable cause for the arrest of Boivin, who was taken into custody without incident. Boivin was transported to the Madison County Jail, where he was held pending a formal review of facts by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The warrant and criminal information was issued by Judge Janet Heflin, who set Boivin’s bond at $30,000. Boivin remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.
