EDWARDSVILLE — A rural Granite City woman was charged Tuesday in Madison County Circuit Court with a felony charge of disorderly conduct, according to a press release from Madison County Sheriff Robert J. Hertz.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2200 block of Miracle Avenue, Granite City, at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, in reference to Jennifer Richter, 39, calling 911 and reporting underage alcohol consumption in the home. Deputies met with the occupants of the home and determined the complaint to be false.
Deputies searched the area around Richter’s home and found her walking in the road. Deputies met with Richter and found her to be intoxicated. Richter was taken into custody for making a false report through the 911 emergency system. Richter was previously arrested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for similar false 911 reports on Sept. 2 and Sept. 5.
Richter was transported to the Madison County Jail, where she were held pending a formal review of facts by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office. The felony warrant and information was issued by Judge Richard Tognarelli, who set Richter’s bond at $10,000.
