ALTON — Kathy Willis, director for Lewis and Clark Community College’s Corporate & Community Learning, will speak at the Oct. 5 Alton Chapter of Women Empowering Women meeting.
She will give a presentation titled The 10,000 Foot Aerial Survey of Employees and Managers and Leaders.
It opens with a tool that helps supervisors and managers better allocate the time they spend coaching, developing and mentoring staff and refereeing staff problems, and wraps up by identifying key differences between great managers and great leaders. The presentation also will examine how leaders can redeploy the Employee Types Quadrant, which sorts employees into 1 of 4 groups.
The networking group’s goal is to offer support and practical information that empowers, encourages and inspires professional women. The group recently moved its monthly meetings to 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at Senior Services Plus, 2603 N. Rodgers Ave. in Alton.
At each lunch session, attendees can network, swap business and professional leads and needs, while also expanding their professional and personal acumen through presentations being provided by area and regional women with subject expertise to share. Membership is free and open to all Riverbend businesswomen.
There is no cost to attend the meeting. Lunch will be available to purchase at the SSP Grill. Reservations are appreciated. To attend, RSVP to email@example.com by Tuesday, Oct. 4.
