U.S. Rep. Bill Enyart (D-Illinois) announced the U.S. Military Academy application deadline.
Anyone interested in attending one of the academies should apply by Nov. 14.
“Our nation’s military academies prepare young men and women for a rewarding career in the service of their country as well as providing an excellent education,” Enyart said. “With the deadline of November 14 approaching, I encourage any student interested in an academy appointment to contact my office soon for an application packet and further information.”
To be eligible for a congressional appointment to a U.S. Military Academy, students must be at least 17 and not more than 23 years of age, unmarried, have no child support obligations, and be a legal resident of the 12th Congressional District of Illinois.
Students may apply to the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo.; U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.; U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y.
