U.S. Rep. Bill Enyart (D-Illinois) will host a meeting with Southern Illinoisans across the district Wednesday night, from the convenience of constituents’ homes.
“This town hall is a little different,” Enyart said. “Southern Illinoisans don’t have to worry about getting out of the house or traveling far away. They can join this town hall meeting through their telephone.”
All constituents from the 12th Congressional District in Illinois are invited to call into the town hall meeting. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m., but constituents are urged to call in a few minutes early.
Enyart will discuss issues surrounding the newly released EPA regulations on coal-fired power plants, VA hospital concerns, jobs and the Southern Illinois economy and more. Constituents are encouraged to ask the congressman questions directly during the meeting.
“I say this all the time — I want to hear from Southern Illinoisans. That’s how I can best represent Southern Illinois values in Washington,” Enyart said.
Constituents interested in joining the call can dial (877) 229-8493 and when prompted, enter ID code 112868. For more information, visit www.enyart.house.gov.
Enyart serves as the co-chair of the Coal Caucus, and sits on the House Armed Services and House Agriculture Committees in the U.S. House of Representatives.
