U.S. Rep. Bill Enyart (D-Illinois) announced he will host his third teletown hall meeting Tuesday, Aug. 5, for constituents of the 12th Congressional District in Southern Illinois.
“Response has been incredible,” Enyart said. “Over 11,000 Southern Illinoisans joined me on the phone in the last two months. It goes to show how engaged folks are with the issues affecting our region.”
All constituents from the 12th Congressional District in Illinois are invited to call into the town hall meeting. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m., but constituents are urged to call in a few minutes early.
Enyart will discuss issues surrounding VA healthcare and veterans, proposed cuts to Social Security services, the Bring Jobs Home Act and more. Constituents are encouraged to ask the congressman questions directly during the meeting.
“I’m constantly asking Southern Illinoisans to tell me what issues concern them, which is why I host teletown halls and conduct constituent surveys,” Enyart said.
Enyart’s constituent survey can be found at http://bit.ly/1ri6MgG, and covers topics like VA health care, coal mining in Southern Illinois, highway infrastructure and more.
Constituents interested in joining the teletown hall can dial (877) 229-8493 and when prompted, enter ID code 112868. For more information, visit enyart.house.gov.
