Trail of Life Curriculum: Sustainable Living through Food Education will offer free events for the public and for 10 groups that get to participate in a research project that will highlight topics in sustainability.
The following events will be 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays:
- Feb. 6: Seed Swap at Senior Services Plus, 2306 N. Rodgers Ave.
- Feb. 27: Incorporating natives in your garden space to increase biodiversity at the Nature Institute, 2213 Levis Lane, Godfrey
- March 12: Lily Transplant Party at the historic Koenig House, Fourth and Oak, Alton
- April: Topic, date and location to be announced
These events also are for participants of a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student’s research and can include individuals and groups, such as schools, churches, clubs, organizations, and retirement communities, that want to start a sustainable outdoor space.
