COLLINSVILLE – Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis recently donated more than 1,000 pounds of dog food between two animal shelters: Partners 4 Pets of St. Jacob, Ill., and Southern Paws Rescue of Maryville.
In addition to the dog food, hospice employees gathered extra necessities to donate including animal blankets, crates and toys as well as practical items such as cleaning supplies.
Each year, Unity Hospice participates in several community service initiatives that help their community. Employees select organizations they have an interest in and collectively vote on several activities to partake in each season. In the past, such activities have included fund-raising events, gift donations and volunteer projects.
