HARTFORD — Find the picture-perfect opportunity for photos during a photography workshop with renowned local photographer Dave Merritt from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower.
Each session will include discussions on equipment, photography tips and how to take wildlife and landscape photos. The workshops are free. There is a charge to tour the tower.
Merritt, a freelance photographer working with the St. Louis Zoo and the Missouri Botanical Gardens, is known for his landscape and animal photography.
The tower is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Guided tours are available daily. Admission to the tower is $4 for adults, $3 for active military/veterans, $3 for adults 62 and over, $2 for children 12 and under and children 2 and under are free. Group rates are available for 12 or more people and reservations can be made by calling the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau at (618) 465-6676.
