HARTFORD — Find the picture-perfect opportunity for photos during two photography workshops with renowned local photographer Dave Merritt at the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower in Hartford from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, and Saturday, March 21.
Each session will include discussions on equipment, photography tips and how to take great wildlife and landscape photos. As an additional bonus, the March 7 workshop will include a live bald eagle meet and greet where budding photographers can practice their skills on site. The workshops are free. There is a charge to tour the tower.
The tower is open Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Guided tours are available daily. Admission to the tower is $4 for adults, $3 for active military/veterans, $3 for adults 62 and over, $2 for children 12 and under and children 2 and under are free. Group rates are available for 12 or more people and reservations can be made by calling the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau at (618) 465-6676.
