Mississippi Valley Christian School junior and senior high students returned from Schaumburg after competing in the Illinois Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts Competition.
State Third Place Junior High Honors went to Katherine Vaughn, daughter of Mark and Jennifer Vaughn of Bunker Hill, in oral interpretation of poetry; and to Timothy Gleason, son of Tim and Kathy Gleason, also of Bunker Hill, in preaching.
Junior High Blue Ribbons were awarded to Jonah Schell, English testing; Katherine Vaughn, English testing and landscape & architecture photography; Kseniya Hassenplug, people & animal photography; and Abigail Wille, landscape & architecture photography.
Red ribbons: Nathan Thompson in history/geography testing and in oral interpretation of scripture; and Katherine Vaughn, history/geography testing.
Senior High Blue Ribbon recipients were Jessica Muntz, Old Testament; Jonathan O’Donnell, Michael Vaughn and John Wooten, U.S. history/geography.
Senior High Red Ribbon winnings went to Tyler Beck and Philip Franklin, both in world history/geography; Katherine Gleason in English, Bible teaching, and people and animal photography; Aaron Thompson in U.S. history/geography, and in People and Animal Photography; Michael Vaughn, English, and oral interpretation of Scripture.
