FERGUSON, Mo. - Police from several area districts swarmed the St. Louis area city of Ferguson as rioting broke out following a candlelight vigil for a teenage shooting victim.
Several businesses were destroyed and/or burned overnight Sunday. A three- to four-block stretch on West Florissant was affected, and Quick Trip was among the businesses affected. Employees escaped to a back room as looting began, and then used jackets to hide the "QT" logos on their shirts to escape out the back door.
The building was later burned.
The Rev. Al Sharpton says he plans to visit the area to address the shooting and the riots.
