The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the McKinley Bridge will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, June 24, weather permitting.
Two-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers. This closure is required to repair the guardrail.
The lane closure will begin at 9 a.m. and be removed by 3 p.m.
The department asks that motorists be patient, reduce speed, obey all warning signs, and use additional caution when traveling near and throughout this work zone.
The contractor on this project is Illini Excavation & Reclamation Inc. of Hartford.
