GRANITE CITY — Bring the whole family to experience the St. Louis Muny in Forest Park this summer and enjoy the evening by allowing the Madison County Transit Muny Express to whisk you to and from every Friday night performance.
With 10 pickup locations in Madison County, the stage is set for the 2015 MCT Muny Express season to begin Friday, June 19, with popular musical “My Fair Lady.” The season continues with Tony Award winner “Hairspray,” Irving Berlin’s “Holiday Inn,” Muny premieres of “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” and “Into the Woods,” as well as fan favorites “Beauty and the Beast” and “Oklahoma.” The Muny Express drops off and picks up passengers in front of the Muny, providing a round-trip ride without the hassles of driving and parking.
MCT Muny Express Fares (one-way) are $3 for adults (13 and older); $1.50 for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and children ages 5-12; free for children younger than five. Muny Express fares are paid at the time of boarding. Buses will drop off in front of the Muny 30 minutes before show time and leave for the return trip 20 minutes after the final curtain from the same location.
Pickup and drop-off locations include: Alton Square, Alton Atrium Hotel (formally Holiday Inn), Eastgate Plaza, MCT Wood River Station and the River’s Edge Park and Ride on Illinois 3. The Edwardsville Muny Express picks up at: MCT Edwardsville Station, Leclaire Junction, Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park & Ride and Gateway Center in Collinsville.
