GODFREY — Madison County Emergency Management has arranged for a phone bank, operated by the United Way, to take property damage reports from Madison County and Godfrey residents.
The phone bank will assist local officials in compiling damage assessments needed to apply for assistance. Anyone who suffered flood or storm-related property damage can call 211 or (800) 427-4626 to make a report. This information also will be posted to Godfrey’s Facebook page.
While cleaning up, residents should take extra care when performing work in or around floodwater-contaminated areas. Contaminants could include unknown chemicals, fuel, raw sewage and other hazardous debris.
For questions or concerns about village-related safety issues during the recovery, contact Chris Sichra at firstname.lastname@example.org or 911 for emergency assistance.
