ALTON — An Arthritis Foundation representative will speak from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Senior Services Plus, 2603 N. Rodgers Ave.
Karen Shoulders, who coordinates the foundation’s annual Jingle Bell Walk/Run, will speak. Organizers say the run is a fun way to kick off the holidays by helping others. Participants are encouraged to wear a holiday-themed costume.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention, control and cure of arthritis.
A special guest speaker will contribute to the presentation. Senior Services Plus’ Department Operations Manager Tracie Ramel-Smith will spotlight ways to become involved in the agency’s team for the fundraiser.
The Alton/Godfrey run will be Saturday, Dec. 5, at Simmons Hanly Conroy, 1 Court St. in Alton.
