ALTON — Brad Noble will be the featured speaker at a discussion on the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Multipurpose Room at Hayner Alton Square Library.
Noble is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at SIUE. A native of Illinois, he obtained a bachelor of science and a master of science from SIUE before he earned his doctorate of science from Washington University in St. Louis. He has taught 17 subjects, three of which he developed. Noble is the recipient of the SIUE 2007–2008 Teaching Excellence Award and the 2011 SIUE Alumni Association Great Teacher Award.
To support STEM Learning, the Hayner Public Library District has enhanced its science collection through a grant-funded project called Select Science. New science books are showcased in displays throughout the Hayner libraries.
