ALTON — Beginning June 1, Senior Services Plus will offer a Get Fit Nutritional Education Program through the Wellness Center.
The program will allow participants to learn the skills needed to live a healthier lifestyle. The program will include a one-hour session each week for four weeks.
The program will include weekly educational topics on nutritional concepts. Enrollees will receive help creating a weekly food journal with a review by a personal trainer. Each will be offered meal-building assistance, group support, class Q&A and guest speakers on nutrition-related topics.
Sessions will be held 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. the first and third Monday and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. the second and fourth Monday in Senior Services Plus’ Multipurpose Room. The cost for all four sessions is $60; an option is available to attend two sessions for $30. All sessions must be used within the month of purchase.
