Ten local children aged 10 to 14 from the Metro-East area will be shadowing Raging Rivers’ lifeguards at Raging Rivers WaterPark in Grafton for the week to learn what a lifeguards job consist of including morning team meetings, watching over the patrons in the park and training classes. The Junior Lifeguard program will allow ten new participants to join the Raging Rivers’ lifeguards each week for two weeks. This program allows children to see what a lifeguard does on a daily basis along with attending training sessions to see if becoming a lifeguard in the future is of interest to them.
The program runs from July 20 through July 24.
The Junior Lifeguard Program is in its second year and is excited to continue to allow local children to learn about water safety, lifeguarding and the responsibility of a summer job.
