ALTON — A rally in support of the state of Illinois’ Community Care Program is set for 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, at Senior Services Plus, 2603 N. Rodgers Ave.
The rally’s goal is to bring attention to proposed state budget cuts that would affect adult day care, case management, homemaker and chore services, senior companions, medication management and personal emergency response services. Senior Services Plus clients will talk about how the proposed cuts would affect services. State Sen. Bill Haine and state Rep. Dan Beiser are among the invited speakers.
Parking is available behind the building in a back parking lot. A shuttle will also be offered for overflow from the nearby Save-A-Lot parking lot, 2980 Homer Adams Parkway in Alton.
