The Young Adults committee of the RiverBend Growth Association is hosting its annual fund-raiser, Battle of the Schools Trivia Night, on Saturday night, Feb. 21, at Alton High School.
Proceeds from this fund-raiser benefit one of the RBGA high school students who is on the Young Adults committee with a scholarship and one of the RBGA nonprofit partners with the Young Adults committee with a financial donation.
The Young Adults committee is asking for help to support this trivia night through a sponsorship of a financial contribution of any amount, purchasing a table at $80 or donating items for a basket raffle. All donations are tax-deductible. All sponsors will be listed on the table signs, announced during the trivia night and listed in the Growth Association’s Business Edge.
The students on the committee are Matt Hopkins and Jake Bohn of Alton High School, Alyssa Ehlers and Jack Walker of Civic Memorial High School, Jenna Foust and Cameron Foust of East Alton-Wood River High School, Drew McRoy and Tommy Morrissey of Marquette Catholic High School and Alyssa Stacy and Kara Meyer of Roxana High School.
The partnering RBGA nonprofit organizations are Boys & Girls Club of Bethalto, Riverbend Family Ministries, The Nature Institute, Senior Services Plus and WellSpring Resources.
The mentors on this committee are Amber Scott of 1st MidAmerica Credit Union, Trish Holmes of CNB Bank & Trust, Cindy Smalley of Cope Plastics, Stacey Loveland of Senior Services Plus and Alex Cope of WellSpring Resources.
