EDWARDSVILLE – Three Granite City Democrats are running in the March 15 primary for the County Board District 19 seat formerly held by Terry Davis, who resigned for personal reasons Nov. 19.
Harry A. Briggs, Michael Charles Parkinson and Donna Davis, Terry Davis' wife, filed petitions to run for the four-year term.
In other contested seats:
- Edwardsville Democrats Shannon L. Bradford and incumbent Amy Meyer filed to run for the four-year Madison County recorder term.
- Incumbent Roger B. Alons and Donald A. Moore, both of Troy, filed as Republicans for the four-year District 2 seat.
- Incumbent William “Bill” Meyer of Hamel, Philip W. Chapman of Highland and Rodney Dustmann of Worden filed as Republicans for the four-year District 3 seat.
- Raymond E. Wesley of Alton and David Baker of Godfrey filed as Republicans for the two-year District 6 seat held by Stephen Adler of Alton, who is not running for re-election.
