^^^Partisan Hack Comments

Ridiculous partisan hack comments by a disgruntled left-winger who is part of a party losing their grip on Madison County, after decades of good old boy cronyism, taxation, drunken spending, and corruption. Prenzler did NOTHING wrong and has NO dog in the fight, other than to make prudent usage of taxpayer's money.

Clearly, your position is unfounded and not of the majority opinion...as evidenced by Prenzler's victory at the polls. Did you forget?? He handed Suarez her hat on a platter with the shellacking she took.

Prenzler is not taking any credit for this, nor was he wanting to. Maybe the real root issue (which is hard for Democrats to grasp), has to do with the original demand...which was the Roxana school district trying to force more taxpayer money to be bestowed upon them...more gold from the golden goose, above and beyond all the increases they won over the past 2 years (going from $11 mil to $20 mil and now wanting $30 mil).

The court order simply agrees with Phillips 66...who had already done their tax estimates in good faith, and was being told to pay up more, to basically support Roxana schools. P66 is the largest taxpayer in Madison County by far, already. So Prenzler is not "taking credit" for anything, just following court orders per the decision between Roxana and P66 that did not involve him in the first place.

The irony of Prenzler

I find it completely amazing that Mr. Prenzler is now trying to take credit for something he fought tooth and nail against. I was at a meeting where he told everyone how "stupid" the Roxana consortium was for fighting Phillips 66 and had his right hand boy, Mike Babcock pull out of it. He told everyone who could hear how that consortium should just leave Phillips alone and let them pay whatever they wanted (he didn't offer that to us). NOW, he wants to brag and somewhat take credit for the hard work that consortium did and better yet his right hand boy will get a windfall of over $400,000 of which if one was a betting person, he too will claim credit for having. The bottom line is the Roxana school district will have the lowest tax rate in the county, if not the state and Prenzler had ZERO to do with it.

Wrong about Prenzler

Your comment would appear to be the stuff a disgruntled local left-winger would spew; from someone who is part of a party losing their grip on Madison County, after decades of good old boy cronyism, taxation, drunken spending, and corruption. Prenzler did NOTHING wrong and has NO dog in the fight, other than to make prudent usage of taxpayer's money. It's time to stop denying how the world works, and what true tax and financial reform needs to look like. Hint - it's NOT through careless spending, back room deals, and paying back political favors. That stuff is exactly what got Madison County where it is now and is exactly why it hasn't taken off like other counties across the country.

Clearly, your position is unfounded and not of the majority opinion...as evidenced by Prenzler's victory at the polls. Did you forget?? He handed Suarez her hat on a platter with the shellacking she took.

For the record, it is obvious...obvioys...that Prenzler is not taking any credit for this, nor was he wanting to. Maybe the real root issue has to do with the original demand...which was the Roxana school district trying to force more taxpayer money to be bestowed upon them...more gold from the golden goose, above and beyond all the increases they won over the past 2 years (going from $11 mil to $20 mil and now wanting $30 mil).

Stop trying to make faux issues where there are none. Your party lost, get over it.
