HARTFORD — Looking for a great deal on Black Friday that doesn’t involve jostling crowds, huge traffic jams and shopping stress?
Take a step back and relax with a visit to the Confluence Tower in Hartford, where tours are half price on Friday, Nov. 27.
“This is a great way to spend time with your family after the Thanksgiving Day holiday,” Hartford Project Manager Deanna Barnes said. “Everyone can see the beautiful confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers from 150 feet high, enjoy the natural beauty of our region and beat the stress of holiday shopping.”
Admission to the tower will be $2 for adults, $1.50 for veterans and $1 for children 12 and under. Children 2 and under are free. The tower, 435 Confluence Tower Drive, will open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
Beginning the week after Thanksgiving, the tower will have new winter hours. The tower will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Winter hours will continue through March 31.
Guided tours are available at the tower with regular admission after Black Friday. Tour prices are $4 for adults, $3 for veterans, $2 for children 12 and younger and children 2 and younger are free. Group rates are available for 12 or more people and reservations can be made by calling the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau at (618) 465-6676.
