EDWARDSVILLE — Edwardsville Township Supervisor Frank Miles recently presented an $8,000 check to the Main Street Community Center, 1003 N. Main in Edwardsville.
At the March 22 Board of Trustees meeting, the board renewed its service contract with the center to assist with recreational and nutritional programs for senior citizens and sponsor the center’s Lunch and Learn program.
Miles presented the check to members of the Main Street Community Center’s Board of Directors.
“The center has a dedicated group of volunteers and board members,” Miles said. “I am pleased the township can play a role in the center’s success.”
Edwardsville Township includes the city of Edwardsville, village of Glen Carbon and unincorporated areas just outside of the two municipalities. The Township Supervisor’s office is at 300 W. Park in Edwardsville and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
