GODFREY — Answering questions about history, pop culture, nature and more will help The Nature Institute in its mission of preservation, restoration and education.
The second annual Trivia Night fundraiser at The Old Bakery Beer Co., 400 Landmarks Blvd. in Alton, will be Thursday, Nov. 10. Doors open at 6 p.m. and questions begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $15 per person or $120 for a team of eight to play. This event is sponsored by Shivers Frozen Custard, Maeva’s Coffee, Liberty Bank and state Sen. William Haine.
This year’s game will be announced by WBGZ’s Doug Jenkins, the host of 11th hour of WBGZ’s “Let’s Talk” and the Big Z Noon show Monday through Friday. You can hear him on WBGZ 94.3FM or 1570AM.
“We are excited to have Doug this year,” said Amy Curry, director of outreach for TNI. “His voice and personality will be refreshing during those team stumping questions.”
She expressed gratitude to Old Bakery Beer Co. for hosting the event and to those that continue to support the organization’s mission.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams. Guests can also win from a 50/50 raffle and silent auction gifts.
Old Bakery Beer Co. will be donating 25 percent of beer sales from the evening to TNI. Outside snacks are allowed. The brewery’s full menu will be available to purchase as well.
Teams are required to reserve a table up to the day of the event. Tables can be reserved at TheNatureInstitute.org or by calling (618) 466-9930.
