WOOD RIVER – Midwest Members Credit Union awarded $1,000 to Nathaniel Jackstadt, senior at Collinsville High School.
Jackstadt was presented the $1,000 check at CHS. He plans to attend Butler University and study pharmacy. He is involved in football, Spanish club, Saturday Scholars, Key Club and track. He also volunteers his time with his congregation, Cedarhurst Assisted Living, the local YMCA and feeding the homeless. He also attended a mission trip to help rebuild homes when Hurricane Katrina hit and volunteers as a Spanish interpreter during the holidays at Walmart.
“We had a large number of very qualified candidates for this year’s scholarship,” Marketing Director Lindsey Kahl said. “It is heartwarming to see the amount of volunteer hours the area's youth is pouring into the community. We wish Nathaniel the best of luck in his future.”
