Alice May Richards, 96, of Alton, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Integrity Health Care in Godfrey.
She was born June 25, 1919, in Alton, the daughter of the late Robert and Lucy (Terpening) Richards.
Alice was an animal lover who enjoyed her cats. She was a lifelong member of the Greater Alton Adventist Church.
She is survived by three nephews and a niece, Harold and Joan Richards of Alton, Gerald Richards and his companion, Ross Davis, of Phoenix, Ariz., Ronald and Holly Richards of Godfrey, and Delores VanHorn of Palo Alto, Calif.; two great-nephews and a great-niece, Tim Martin of Godfrey, Ann and Jeff Trubey of Nashville, Tenn., and Warren Richards and companion, Noelle Thaxton, of Godfrey; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Freddie Richards; and four siblings in early childhood.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel with Pastor Scott Gonzalez officiating with burial to follow.
