Anne M. Miller, 97, of Granite City, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at her home. She was born August 28, 1917 in Granite City. She married William Lester Miller on July 17, 1944 at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church and he passed away on August 11, 1983. Anne had worked for Berrards in St. Louis, Missouri for many years as a seamstress. She was a dedicated and faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was an active quilter. She had served as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Gateway Regional Medical Center with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Croatian Lodge and loved her St. Louis Cardinals. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family.
In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Dora (Muich) Belobrajdic; her twin sister, Catherine (Steve) Rudelic; brother, Tony J. (Mary) Bellue and two sisters, Frances (Louis) Miller and Olga (Mike) Trtan. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Dan) Folkerts of Granite City, Elaine Foreman of Granite City, Mary Catherine (Ras) Newsome of Laguna Beach, California, Steve (Darlene) Rudelic of Dallas, Texas, Richard (Teri) Rudelic of Webster Groves, Missouri, Michael (Sandy) Trtan of St. Genevieve, Missouri, Judy (Fred) Leatherman of Paducah, Kentucky and Louis Miller of Granite City; many great- nieces and great nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. with Father Chris Comerford as celebrant.
