Barbara K. Butler (Antrobus Bean) of Alton passed away at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto.
She was born Oct. 18, 1934, the daughter of Harry Antrobus and Kathleen (Simmons Antrobus) Herrin.
Barbara was employed by Beiderman Furniture and Central Sales in Alton, and in 1966 went to work at Alton Mental Health and retired in 1993 after 27 years of service.
She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Judy (Bean) and Roy Braundmeier of Fieldon and Cheryl (Butler) and Garry Ramage of Bunker Hill; six grandchildren and their spouses, Craig and Nikki Austill, of Bunker Hill, Stacie Renee Carverio and partner, James Ewing, Jeanna (Carverio) and Jason Goodson of East Alton, John Laux of Alton, Paul and Sarah Braundmeier of Fieldon, and Becky (Woelfel) Baney of Jerseyville; 11 great-grandchildren, Allysa Austill, Aziya Ewing, Jayren Ewing, Daivon Goodson, Aaron Goodson, Sydney Goodson, Jack Laux, Eric Braundmeier, Bailey Baney, Eli Baney and Xander Baney; and one brother, Bob Antrobus of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will follow at Godfrey Cemetery.
