Bert C. Seago, 82, of Godfrey, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Mount Clemens, the son to the late Russell and Leta (Minerva) Seago.
He married Rosa Lee (Marlow) on Oct. 7, 1954, at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton. She survives.
Bert served his country in the U.S. Navy. He then was employed as a Draftsman by Ameren, retiring in 1993 after 39 years.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter and her spouse, Kimberly Ann and Michael Cannavan of Louisville, Ky.; and one grandchild, Jennifer Ketcherside.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Kerren Sue and Elisabeth Kay; and three sisters, Marilyn Lee Welch, Ann Ogden and Margaret Seago.
Visitation was Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, at College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Military Rites will be performed by Alton VFW Post 1308 Ritual Team.
