Betty Kearbey, 82, of Hartford, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1933, in Blakeley, Ga., the daughter of the late Glenn and Noma (Rabon) Carmichael. She married Lester Kearbey on Nov. 27, 1954, in Columbus, Ga., and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon “Diane” and Todd Zucca of Hartford; one son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Debra E. Kearbey of Alton; four grandchildren, Jami Rose and her husband, Tommy, Amanda Anderson and her husband, Bradley, Megan Kearbey, Emily Kearbey, two great-grandchildren, Marrisa Morrison and Lindzey Morrison; and one brother, Bobbie Carmichael of Forston, Ga.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Kim Allen will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice of Alton and will be accepted at the funeral home.
