Beverly Virginia (Kelso) Wilson, 86, formerly of Trenton, passed away at 6:53 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Battle Creek, Mich., a daughter of the late Harry Scott and Golda Mabel (Sisco) Kelso.
She married Col. Ernest R. Wilson, USAF (Ret.) on March 18, 1950. She was a proud military officer’s wife. He passed away in 2001.
Beverly was a former member of the Collinsville Bridge Club and loved needlework, entertaining, refinishing furniture and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelso “Kelly” (Wilson) Staley; and her husband, David Staley of Pontoon Beach; a son, Russell Scott Wilson; and a granddaughter, Theresa Anne (Arnold) Davinroy and her husband, Donald Davinroy.
In addition to her husband, her parents and her granddaughter, she was preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, and great-grandson, Lindsey Virginia Arnold-Zimmer, Adam Zimmer and Riley William Zimmer.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at Wojstrom Funeral Home and Crematory in Granite City.
Memorial donations may be made to Friends of the National World War II Memorial and will be accepted at the funeral home.
