Billie Dunnagan, 84, of Alton, entered into eternal peace at 2:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Tamaroa, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Ada (Edens) Livingston.
She married James M. Dunnagan on Jan. 15, 1981, and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Billie was a dietitian at Alton Memorial Hospital for 18 years, attended Fontbonne College and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Alton. She liked playing cards and being with her family. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the American Legion Post 126, the Alton VFW Post 1308 and the Alton Moose Lodge.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Cato and David Dickerson of Alton; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Isom of Greenville, Ohio; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Joyce and Jim Schmittling, and Gloria and Al LaDue, all of Utah; a stepson and his wife, Larry and Kari Dunnagan of Wyoming; two stepsons and a stepdaughter-in-law, Gary and Rosa Willmore, Paul Willmore, and a stepdaughter, Mary Willmore, all of Alton; and seven grandchildren, Corey and Jacquelyn Cato, Stacy and John Tanner, Anna and Jason Benanzer, Rachel and Tim Shuff, Bradley and Clauice Isom, Fred Isom and Marlissa Isom, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Louise Lowe, of Meadowbrook, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, James; she is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Fred Isom Jr.; a stepson, Noel Willmore; four brothers, Willard, Wilbur, Edward and Gene Livingston; and a sister, Edna Hayes.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Tamaroa Cemetery in Tamaroa.
Memorials may be made to the Oasis Women’s Center in Alton.
