Bobby J. McNealy, 82, of Cottage Hills, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1932, in Malden, Mo., the son of the late Jule and Irene (Vandegriff) McNealy.
He married the former Pauline Copeland on Jan. 3, 1958, in Cottage Hills and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Vicky McNealy of Hillsboro, Christopher and Jennisha McNealy of Waterloo, the Rev. Matthew and Stephanie McNealy of New Douglas; his grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Ashley, Christina, Christopher, Zachary, Colleen, Ben, Mattie, Shamus, and Adeline; one great-granddaughter, Olive; and his sisters, Opal Holt, Shirley Cunningham, Dorothy Hicks, Judy Hallbrook, and Pat Johnson.
Bobby was formerly employed at Sidney Arst Scrap Yard for 30 years prior to his retirement. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Homes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marion McNealy; and two sisters, Mildred Branch and Lavone Smith.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastors Brian McNealy and Matthew McNealy will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodburn Cemetery in Woodburn, Ill.
