Bonnie Ramona Campbell, 79, of Granite City, passed away at 3:04 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at University Nursing & Rehab in Edwardsville.
She was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Granite City, the daughter to the late William Franklin and Carmi (Weeks) Easley.
Bonnie was an outgoing entrepreneur, always willing to give something a try. She started and owed many local businesses, including The Port Room Salon as a beautician in Madison for 24 years, Jim-N-I Furniture and Lic’s Frozen Custard. Bonnie also served the area as Realtor for many years.
Survivors include husband, Jim Ridings; three daughters, Judy (Jerry Poole) Browning, Holly (Ed) Diedrich and Jana Boring, all of Granite City; son, Stephen (Jenny) Ridings of Alton; five grandchildren, Cathy Roberts, Greg Roberts, Jodi (Darrin) Singleton, and Amy Boring and Baylee Ridings; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Ryan Roberts, Adams Roberts, Alexandra Singleton and Toby Singleton; and a great-great-grandchild, Cale Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Campbell, on Dec. 25, 1989, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
