Brad L. Richmond, 37, of Granite City, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Brad was born on Nov. 13, 1976, in Granite City. He was a foreman at Castle Construction and had worked for J.H. Berra Construction. He was a member of the Local Laborers Union No. 110 and in his free time enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He will be remembered for his kind heart and the many special times he shared with his family and friends.
He is survived by and will be missed by his life companion, Konnie Stroud of Granite City; his mom, Phyllis (Sipes) Richmond; his dad, Donald Richmond; his son, Colin Richmond of Granite City; his daughter, Brooke Richmond of Granite City; twin brother, Brent and (Cathy) Richmond of Granite City; sister, Candy and (Chris) Mandina of Granite City; grandma, Imogene Richmond of Granite City, mother-in-law, Jolene and (Ed) Levy of Madison; brother-in-law, Ryan Levy of Madison and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents; Kenny and Opal Sipes; his grandpa, Willis Richmond; his great-grandma, Kathryn Gamble.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of his life services are at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorials are suggested to the family.
