Carol A. Dickerson, 78, of Alton, passed away at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.
She was born Dec. 23, 1936, in St. Albans, Vt., the daughter to Francis “Frank” and Hazel (nee: Tallman) Vaudrien Carol, and married Theodore Dickerson Sept. 1, 1953, in St. Albans, Vt.
Carol retired as a supervisor from Beverly Farm Foundation in Godfrey.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Nazemi of Ozark, Mo., and Melody (Albert) Covington of Alton; five sons, Frank (Jill) Dickerson of Worden, Tim (Belinda) Dickerson of Wood River, Theodore “Mike” Dickerson of Wood River, Thomas Dickerson of Jerseyville, and Jesse Dickerson of Alton; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Nolan, Janet Gebo and Patricia Clark; and one brother, Armand (Violet) Vaudrien.
Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Lynn Tuck; a son, John Norva Dickerson; a sister, Rosemary Miner and a brother, John Vaudrien.

The family will have a celebration of life service from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Worden United Methodist Church, 103 S. Lincoln St., Worden, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
