Carolyn Jarrett, 72, of Greenville, formerly of Granite City, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
She was born on July 17, 1942, in Granite City, a daughter to the late Lloyd and Verna (Barlow) Hull.
Carolyn was a lifelong homemaker who loved to tend to her flower garden, bowl and play bingo. She was a member of the AmVets Auxiliary Post 51 for more than 30 years and in her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her gentle heart and all the special times she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her husband of nearly 55 years, Ronald Jarrett; her sons, Ron and (Candice) Jarrett of New Hall, Iowa, and Jeff and (Johanna) Jarrett of Granite City; grandchildren, Anthony and (Amanda) Jarrett, Anna Jarrett, Blake and (Christina) Kjos, and Cheyenn Causey; great-grandchildren, Emily, Makayla, Wyatt, Kalub, Lyllie, Ady and Lily; and one sister, Shirley Graham.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of her life services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Clint Wisdom officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville.
