Cathy Lynn Rodgers, 57, of Caseyville, died at 11:52 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Feb. 3, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter to the late Alberta Louise (Terney) Revelle. Cathy was employed at Cummins Mid-South as a service writer for the last several years. She had also been a member of Toastmasters International. Survivors include three daughters, Michelle L. Kempf of Collinsville, Melinda D. (Rodgers) Clement, and Maria N. (Rodgers) Janardhan; a son, Justin P. Rodgers, all of Troy; 11 grandchildren, Sebastian Clement, Lara Mackey, Zachary Clement, Evie Price, Brie-Anna Rodgers, Geetanjali Janardhan, Ella-Rose Rodgers, Kylie Varady, Priyalakshmi Janardhan, Jeffrey Moses and Jameson Rodgers; a sister, Robin Mark of Meadow Vista, Calif.; a brother of Texas; and her former husband and friend, John Peter Rodgers of Collinsville.
Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, Clarence F. Revelle; and a nephew, Christopher Gum. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Impact Family Worship Center, 4070 Oakmont Drive, Pontoon Beach, IL 62040.
Memorial visitation will start at 4:30 p.m. with a service to honor her life beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coalition for Animal Rescue and Education, (636) 208-6267, who have graciously been caring for and rehoming two of her beloved dogs or American Lung Association.
