Cheryl E. Cruse, 63, of Edwardsville, passed away at 3:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born Sept. 26, 1952, in Granite City, the daughter of Dorothy (Reynolds) Cruse of Edwardsville and the late R.B. Cruse.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Melanie Cruse of Edwardsville, and Senadee and Mike Brurich of New England, N.D.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Roland Cruse of Hopkins, Minn., David Cruse of Edwardsville, and Dan and Yolanda Cruse of Casa Grande, Ariz.; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Cheryl was formerly employed as a wedding planner in Oregon, where she also was a seamstress making several wedding gowns and suits. She was employed for 10 years for the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in California. She later was employed as a florist, and she enjoyed several awards. She was a volunteer at the Edwardsville Community Center.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard.
In celebration of her life, graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Deacon Dan Corbett will officiate.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. The Very Rev. Jeffrey Goeckner will be the celebrant.
