Clara A. Wilson, 83, of Roxana, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Granite Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on June 29, 1932, in Thebes, she was the daughter of Lawrence Henry and Orpha Ambertha (Lesar) Bigham.
Clara had worked and retired from the Roxana Dare Care.
She married Guy Edward Wilson who died Oct. 3, 2012, after 62 years of marriage.
She was the dear mother of Joyce Scott, Terry (Sherri) Wilson and Gary (Tracy) Wilson; beloved grandmother of Brian Scott, Brad (Christina) Scott, Jeffery (Liesl) Scott, Matt (Dana) Wilson, Rachel Wilson, Adam, Morgan, Mia, and Jordan Wilson; great-great-grandmother of Zachary, Darbie and Drake Scott, Henry Scott, Kaylee and Taylor Scott, Annaliese Scott, and Brady and Cole Wilson; brothers, Clarence and Bobby Bigham; and sisters, Beulah Morgan, Barbara Jean Hurt, Billie Sue Hayden, Phyllis Stevenson and Helen Bigham.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; sister, Artie Farris; and brothers, Johnny, Lawrence, James and Wayne Bigham.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia St., Collinsville. Fr. John Beveridge will officiate.
Interment will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.
