David E. Weatherford, 69, of Wood River, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Anderson Hospital.
He was born Sept. 2, 1946, in Ava, the son to Clifford and Erville (Smith) Weatherford.
He married Amelia “Millie” Landfried on Aug. 12, 1983. She preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 2009.
Also preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Darvin Weatherford.
He is survived by four children and their spouses, Judith (Douglas) Matthews of Glen Carbon, Steven (Susan) Weatherford of Wood River, Keith (Melissa) Reed of Livingston and Kelly (Craig) Reynolds of Collinsville; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Messner of Cahokia.
David was retired from Terminal Railroad, where he worked as a clerk. He enjoyed old cars, watching old TV shows and loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
