Della Ilene Langham, 95, of Jerseyville, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Jerseyville Manor.
Born on May 9, 1920, in Keyesport, she was the daughter of Louis and Nelda (Laws) Willmirth.
Della worked as a sales associate for Sears-Roebuck and Co. before retiring after 14 years.
She married Carl E. Langham on Jan. 29, 1939 in St. Louis. He died July 4, 1998.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara (Donald) Edwards of Greenfield, Mary (James) Burner of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Charlotte (Hal) Keyser of Davenport, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Jo (Roger) Wade of Fosterburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, William C. Langham; daughter, Judy Burks; sister, Lois Huck; and brothers and sister-in-law, Laren and Jean Thorpe and Harold Huck.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at noon Monday. Jim Johnston will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
