Delores D. Roberson, 90, of Moro, passed away at 1:03 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born June 11, 1925, in Beach Grove, Ark., the daughter of the late Edgar and Bessie (Cooper) Ready.
She married Dossie H. Roberson on June 21, 1946, in Jerseyville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1986.
Delores was a bus aide with the Bethalto School District for 17 years until retiring in 1990. She enjoyed most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Yvonne Roberson of Moro, Beauton and Brian Furlow of Bethalto, and William “Wil” and Melanie Roberson of Cottage Hills; four grandchildren, Travis Furlow, Jocie Davis, Dossie “William” Roberson, and Bryan Ready and his family; three great-grandchildren, Hansford, Hudson and Harper; her siblings and their spouses, Beauton “Boots” Sieb of Grafton, Jesse “Bud” Ready of Otterville, JoEllen Lucas of Alton, Oliver and Janet Ready of Grafton, Richard Ready of Jerseyville, and Wanda and Paul Watson of Grafton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Rodney Roberson and Gene Ready.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
