Delores E. Moore, 81, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Granite City, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at Covenant Hospice Care Center in Panama City.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1934, in Hendrickson, Mo., a daughter to the late Theodore and Frances (Ethridge) Tackett.
Delores was a longtime warranty administrator for Ackerman Buick and in her early years worked for Rees’s Drug Store and Blacks Bakery. She was a former member of Third Baptist Church in Granite City and in her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her son, Mark and (Shane) Riecken of Panama City; daughter, Terri and (Rick) McWilliams of Meridian, Miss.; grandchildren, Jennifer DeBord, Jody Gray, Andria Whitley, Adem Riecken, Alison Amyouni and Sam Riecken; brothers, Homer Tackett, Paul Tackett and Larry Tackett; and sister, Wilma Graff.
In celebration of her life, graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon with Pastor Mike Rayson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Covenant Hospice Care Center, 615 North Bonita Ave., Third Floor, Panama City, FL 32405. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, is serving the family.
