Diana R. Foltz, 65, of Highland, died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Peppi’s House Hospice in Tucson, Ariz.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1949, in Highland, the daughter of Anne M. (Jacober) Hundsdorfer and the late Vance A. Hundsdorfer.
Diana was an analyst for the U.S. government.
She married John W. Foltz on Sept. 21, 1991, in Fairborn, Ohio.
Foltz attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School in Belleville, Notre Dame High School at Ripa, Mo., for 3 1/2 years, and graduated from Academy of Notre Dame in Belleville. She lived in Fairborn, Ohio, where she was employed with the Department of Defense. She worked at Scott Air Force Base and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a contracting procurement analyst for the Aeronautical System Division. She received the prestigious “Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award” upon her retirement in 2000. She has a bachelor of science in industrial technology from SIU-Carbondale and a master of science degree in acquisition and manufacturing from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Diana’s true passion concerned handcrafts of all kinds. She was a longtime certified teacher accredited by the McGown Traditional Rug Hooking Organization. Diana also was the Past Regent of the Tucson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the oldest chapter in Arizona. She enjoyed doing genealogical research for herself and prospective members. Diana’s family wishes to thank the many angels that eased her pain in her last few weeks, especially those working for Arizona Oncology and the kind staff at TMC Hospice at Peppi’s House.
Survivors include Anne M. Hundsdorfer, nee Jacober, of Highland; husband, John W. Foltz of Tucson; stepdaughter, Debbie L. (Jay) Carlton of Fairborn, Ohio; stepson, William R. (Patty) Foltz of Lake Charles, La.; stepgrandchildren, Shelby N. Dixon of Fairborn, Ohio, Dana M. Dixon of Fairborn, Ohio, William S. Foltz of Lake Charles, Matthew R. Foltz of Lake Charles; and nephew, Kevin R. Brown of Madison, N.J.
She was preceded in death by father, Vance A. Hundsdorfer; and sister, Nancy E. Brown.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.
Morning visitation will be 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland. Father Pat G. Jakel will officiate.
Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland.
Lunch will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
