Dolores Ann Bilyeu, 82, of Troy, passed away at 6:49 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 at her home.
She was born May 24, 1933, in Chicago, a daughter of the late Fred Dashke and Jessie A. (Dalton) Murdock. She retired in 1993 from AT&T after 33 years of dedicated service with Illinois Bell as a telephone operator. Her life was devoted to family and she cherished the special times shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, George and Debra Bilyeu of Collinsville, Lynn Ashcroft of Collinsville, Elizabeth and Jack Illies of Troy, Lee and Gale Bilyeu of Granite City, Donna and Thomas Weimer of Harrisburg, Penn., and Carrie and Paul Lewis of Troy; 16 grandchildren, their spouses and 14 great grandchildren, Christopher Bilyeu (Emma), Jason Bilyeu, Brittany and Patrick Irish, Kendra and Michael Stuppi (Addison, Lydia), Amy McCallister (Ashton, Mason), Jeffrey Hartsoe, Zachary and Kynda Bilyeu, Jessica Owens (Jimmy, Theo, Robby), Shawn Lorenzen (Greyson), Shannon and Shawn Sapp (Gracie), Jacob Bilyeu, Jessie and Kristopher Kowalczyk (Marek), Amanda and John Bechtel (Rowan, Lily), Jacob and Anna Weimer (Jaxon), Alex Saenz, Paul Lewis III and Tyler Lewis; a brother, Howard Dashke of Caseyville; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Rick Schauer of Schaumburg; half-sister, Jeannette Vardiman; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dashke; sister Georgia Wasser; and a son-in-law, Thomas E. Ashcroft.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ, 307 W. Clay St. in Collinsville with the Rev. Tony Minear officiating.
