Dolores F. Coatney, 80, of Alton, passed away at 2:29 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 21, 1935, the daughter of the late Claude and Gertrude (Perkins) Logan.
Dolores married the late Maurice F. Coatney June 21, 1968, in Alton. He preceded her in death Aug. 11, 2012.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes, painting and sewing. Dolores was an avid “Wheel of Fortune” watcher and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived six children and their spouses, John Gwillim of Godfrey, Sharon Gwillim of Hamburg, Susan Yost (David) of Gillespie, Jeff Coatney of Portland, Ore., Reneigh DeBoer (Menno) of St. Louis and Ken Coatney of Cleveland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Claude Logan of Cottage Hills.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Logan; and a sister, Louise Crane.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will follow at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
