Dolores J. Bohnenstiehl, 85, of Edwardsville, passed away at 8:25 pm Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
She was born June 12, 1930, in St. Louis, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Vatter) Gibbs.
She married Norman J. Bohnenstiehl on May 16, 1948, in Collinsville. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1992.
Dolores was a waitress at the Village Café in Alton for nearly 50 years. She was a member of the Holiday Shores Baptist Church and the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed baking, traveling and most of all being with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Deborah Bohnenstiehl of Bethalto; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Kim Bohnenstiehl of Bethalto and Kory and Bethany Bohnenstiehl of Tooele, Utah; two great-grandchildren, Karissa and Kinley Bohnenstiehl; and a brother-in-law, Rodger Bohnenstiehl of Crete, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Pat Heston officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
